Made the monoprint circles and waited for the right image to appear to use them. I was thinking about turtles and their environments, sea and land, and how endangered they are. I felt drawn to create an image of a turtle swimming amongst sea grass and how we need to protect our precious earth and oceans.

Full description
Lino Print and Monoprint. One of a varied edition of 12 hand prints depicting a sea turtle, and composed of a number of elements. The circle is a monoprint using lavender stems, the sea turtle is a lino print. The work is mounted on lovely handmade khadi paper.
Measuring approximately 21 x 21 cms, including backing board. It is cello wrapped for protection. It is signed, titled and has the varied edition number in pencil at the bottom, as seen in the photograph.
