We have retired - so our lovely Folksy shop has now closed.
Thank you to everyone who has supported and/or bought from us. It has been much appreciated.
If you have any queries you can still contact us via the “contact” button at the top.
Wishing everyone all the very best.
I was asked to make one of these for a friend last Christmas and with the power of word of mouth, they became very popular.
A beautiful finish to your Christmas tree - these will last for many years if stored carefully - making them sustainable and ultimately bio-degradable. A fabulous addition to your green Christmas.
Whilst the sizing, willow variety and weaves are obviously set for this particular basket, baskets can be made to order - for any purpose, to your size requirements and your preferred willow variety. If you have something in mind, please don’t hesitate to contact us with your ideas. Commissions are always welcome.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Basketry is considered to be one of the oldest crafts in the world - pre-dating pottery. But that doesn’t mean patterns, designs and ideas have to be static. Here is a modern use of willow - beautiful Tree Skirts to hide the trunk and stand/base of your Christmas Tree.
Hand-woven in my small workshop in Cornwall, they can be made in a variety of different willows so hopefully one will suit your particular decor or colour preference. They can be made to order so if you see a colour which is out-of-stock, or would like a different size, please get in touch and I will happily make you one.
Orders will take a minimum of 14 days to be completed. Last ordering date will be 30th November.
PLEASE NOTE - due to the high cost of postage for large parcels - these are only available to purchase for local delivery or collection. If you live further afield, check other basketmakers on Folksy or at the website for The Basketmakers Association to find a local basketmaker who might be able to make you one.
I currently have one of each of the following in stock:
Flanders Red - 20” x 18” x H9.5” - £25
Black Maul & Old French - 20” x 17” x H8.5” - £25
Black Maul - 20” x 14” x H11” - £30
Buff - 20” x 13” x H10.5 - £30
White - 20” x 15” x H10.5” - £30. These have a very limited availability due to my low stock levels and it being the wrong time of year to order white willow
Treat your Christmas Tree to a beautiful skirt.
