Full description
This necklace has been entirely hand made from eco-silver. This is sterling silver that has been recycled from old jewellery, giftware and electronics.
I have used silver wire to create each link individually, and carefully soldered each one to the next. Every link is unique. I really wanted to make an unusual necklace with lots of different elements coming together to create a talking-point piece of jewellery.
I've used an old hammer to texture the links, and then oxidised the necklace, giving it a dark patina. I've then polished some of this away to highlight the textures.
The necklace measures 36 inches in total length.
I hand formed the clasp, although it is definitely long enough to just pop over your head. I just love making clasps, and a necklace feels incomplete without one. It also means that you could wrap it around twice.
Will arrive in an eco-friendly gift box wrapped in twine.
