Leather wallet - A compact leather wallet is ideal to just pop in your pocket or handbag. Would make a great gift for someone special.
The leather is reminiscent of autumn leaves with golden brown, tan and mustard yellow hues.
The Monty wallet is handcrafted using full grain, veg tanned leather from the world famous tannery Badalassi Carlo. The leather has the most amazing “pull up” or lightening effect which gives the leather a distressed look when pulled or folded.
Because full grain leathers aren’t buffed or sanded to remove marks it means the leather retains its beautiful, unique markings so colourings and texture will vary from piece to piece. With time it will develop a wonderful patina and with care should last a lifetime.
The wallet is hand sewn using traditional saddle stitching with Italian slam waxed thread in yellow for superior strength. The edges are burnished so it retains its natural oils and won’t dry out.
Every aspect of the process is crafted by hand, cutting, punching, saddle stitching, bevelling and burnishing.
