I have painted and sculpted for years and my inspiration has always been animals and landscape. I live on a smallholding surrounded by a furry, woolly and feathered family. Earlier this year I was searching for something in the barn when I came across an old box of horseshoes which had all belonged to horses in my life. I wondered what I could do to make them into something lovely that would last for years and I came up with some ideas...

Full description
A unique handmade variation on a traditional lucky horseshoe for a door or wall. Made by me with an old horseshoe to which I have added a hare which I sculpted from epoxy clay then painted with acrylic and gouache before finishing with a protective matt varnish. The sculpture is strengthened and attached to the horseshoe with wire.
