I love calligraphy, and want people to know that there are more styles available than the beautiful pointed pen work that is popular today. I love that too! However, calligraphy has so much more to offer. I wanted to use the historic Uncial script together with a modern way of representing the three kings with squares to make a unique card.

Set of four handmade Christmas cards on the theme of the carol “We Three Kings”.
Squares of paste paper I have made in purple, red and green with gold highlights represent the kings, and the calligraphy lettering is done in walnut ink with a metal nib. This script is the Uncial script, which was widely used in monastic manuscripts .
Each set has two red cards and two green on quality cardstock. These may differ slightly from each other, as may the neutral coloured paper used. Each card is lovingly handmade, so there will be slight differences! Kraft envelopes complete your set.
The cards are A6 in size, and are blank inside.
