Here at Stitchdoodles we are all about creativity.
Nicola started the company in 2019 after finding it difficult to find hand embroidery patterns that were exciting and a bit different from the usual. Wanting to combine her love of hand embroidery stitches, traditional sampler techniques as well as quilt designs(!) she decided to come up with something herself and it has evolved into an array of wonderful and colourful designs that will hopefully inspire and excite people to pick up a needle and get stitching.
Alongside the designing, Nicola is passionate about teaching others how to stitch her patterns and regularly holds stitch a longs on the blog to offer a more indepth look at some patterns and for a community of stitchers to enjoy coming together and creating a design they can all be proud of.

Stitch Fun with Leaves Hand Embroidery Pattern
There are 31 leaves on this tree - all waiting to be stitched.
This wonderful tree featured as a challenge on the Stitchdoodles Blog and it is now available for everyone to stitch in whichever stitches YOU choose.
You can also follow along and copy the stitches I chose by refering to the blog page where I link to the stitch tutorial for each stitch in case you want to learn a few new ones.
This is great fun to do and suitable for all levels. The tree measures approx 6.5 inches so the design fits well in a 7 inch hoop.
Please note: This is NOT a Pattern - the challenge is for you to stitch a different stitch onto a different leaf using your own ideas. You will receive the template to transfer to the fabric yourself.
