Thanks for visiting Looney Spoons. I've now closed the shop for my Christmas break and will be reopening on Monday 6 January.
If you've already ordered, it will have been posted first class by Monday 16 Dec at the latest.
Have fun browsing and stay tuned for new spoons in the new year!
Massive thanks to all my customers, I am so pleased to have made so many people laugh this year.
Merry Christmas Everyone,
Lynn
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
A handstamped vintage silver plated dessertspoon with the words FEED THE BEAR in block capitals in the bowl. It's approximately 18cm long with a plain 'old english' style handle and is the perfect gift for someone with a large appetite!
This listing is for ONE spoon. You will receive the spoon shown in the photographs. The lettering is coloured with a non-toxic, water-based acrylic ink. Wash carefully by hand as the colour is not indestructible - the lettering, however, is stamped into the metal and should last pretty much as long as the spoon does.
Please note that this spoon is a vintage one, so it's a bit worn, especially on the back (see third photo) where some of the plating has worn off. This spoon has been around a bit and has character. It's a survivor. If you were looking for a mirror-finished brand new spoon, this isn't one. Just so you know.
I can do other wording to order so if you have a different message in mind, please let me know and I'll put together a custom listing for you. Also, if you like this 1940s industrial style (yes, the letter dies I used are 1940s ones, and yes, I know I should get out more) there is a whole '1940s Style Spoons' collection in my shop for you to browse...
