I love the sock sets that independent yarn dyers make, with the beautiful main yarn colour and the contrast colour meant for cuffs and toes, but I don't want to make socks... So, I designed the Studio Sleeves to show off the yarn and use both main and contrast colours to best effect. I feel the cold but have lots of cardigans with bracelet or elbow length sleeves, so this seemed to be the perfect way to add a cosy layer of warmth to my wardrobe.

Full description
PATTERN ONLY. Please see other items in my shop for ready made Studio Sleeves.
Studio Sleeves - a crochet pattern for cosy armwarmers in three different lengths. Originally designed to use a hand dyed sock set, for those who don't want to make socks (like me), I have also included instructions for DK and chunky weight yarns. The pattern is written in both UK and US terms.
This is a PDF pattern which will be emailed to you within 24 hours of purchase. For printed patterns, there is a small additional charge to cover postage. Please contact me before buying if you would prefer a printed pattern.
The sleeves can be made to below the wrist, between wrist and elbow or over the elbow length. The pattern is suitable for adventurous beginners up and the techniques include working in rows, working in rounds, seamless and seamed sections. A quick make that uses small quantities of yarn, Studio Sleeves are perfect for gifting (or make lots for yourself... autumn is coming!).
Yarn requirements:
Sock 70-120g (if using sock set) or 50-100g if using single skein
DK 40-120g
Chunky 70-130g
Designed by Vicky Gorry in Cambridgeshire
