Pebble Shield Pendant; One of a Kind piece.
Oval sterling silver pendant etched with an abstract pebble pattern which is shaped into a shield domed form & a high polish finish.
Hallmarked at Birmingham Assay Office.
A Prong-set Watermelon Tourmaline slice takes centre stage.
A hidden tube setting at the back allows the chain to showcase the pendant without any distractions.
Watermelon Tourmaline is a semi precious gemstone with concentric circles reminiscent of a watermelon - changing through Pink centre and green edges. This is why it is cut into slices to show off the colours best.
Etching is a form of transferring pattern or imagery onto metal using an etchant.
I create the 'patterns' using digital manipulation of my own photography.
