Full description
This beautiful wildflower pendant is cast from real stonecrop flowers and handcrafted in recycled fine (99.99%) silver.
I start by using a real stonecrop flower to create a finely detailed mould, which I then use with silver clay to create a perfect impression of the flower. The clay is then fired to create solid fine silver, before being polished to a high shine. I have oxidised it using liver of suphur to create a dark patina on the surface and polished the high points back to a beautiful shine, creating a lovely contrast that highlights the shape and fine details of the flower.
Silver clay is a pliable, clay-like material consisting of recycled fine silver particles mixed with water and a plant-based organic binder. When dried and then fired, the result is a piece of solid fine silver.
The wildflower pendant measures approximately 20mm x 14mm and comes on a sparkly 18" recycled sterling silver chain.
Your pendant will come in a hand-stamped eco-friendly gift box, wrapped in recycled acid-free tissue paper and satin ribbon made from recycled plastic bottles.
