I created this gorgeous journal because I believe your words are worth it!

The covers for this pretty hand bound journal were made using original cyanotype prints, featuring Wiltshire wildflowers, gathered from the hedgerows around my home. I love to use Umbelliferae in my prints.

I added inks, salt and water. For this print I used Ferris Wheel Press in a shade called Jardin Turquoise.

I also used a dash of gold ink for a bit of bling.

To create the cover prints, I used Fabriano Tiziano art paper in lovely turquoise blue colour called Acqua Marina.

The inside covers are handmade Nepalese Lokta paper in a deep Ocean blue.

The book is stitched together with teal waxed Irish linen thread.

I used Coptic stitching to bind the book together. It is characterized by sections of paper sewn through their folds and attached to each other with chain stitch linkings across the spine of the book. Traditionally, hand bound books have seven signatures, or sections, and that is how many I use.

Coptic binding means that the book will lie completely flat when opened, which makes it perfect for journaling or sketching.
