Smoky quartz is the national gem of Scotland, traditionally used in the handle of the sgian dubh, the sock dagger worn with the kilt.
Carnelian is a warm, orange-red stone, a variety of Chalcedony, a member of the Quartz family.
Used as an adornment by man for over 4,500 years, this stone has come to symbolise health, luck and royalty.
It was prescribed by ancient healers to 'invigorate the blood'.
It is considered a birthstone for both July and Cancer, as an alternative to Ruby, and as a Zodiac stone for Leo and August.

Full description
Grey-brown, translucent Smoky Quartz nuggets with beautiful sunset orange AAA grade faceted Carnelian beads.
This stylish bracelet features ten 8-9mm, rough cut oval nuggets of Smokey Quartz, separated by gorgeous, 2.75mm, AAA grade, micro-faceted Carnelian beads that are highlighted with tiny 2mm, AAA grade faceted Pyrite beads.
At each end are a row of six 2x4mm heishi style Smoky Quartz wheels.
The bracelet fastens with a heart shaped toggle clasp in an antique gold finish.
The clasp is nickel and lead free, and I find it much easier to fasten myself than a trigger clasp.
The polished Smoky Quartz have a nice shine, and the faceted beads add a subtle sparkle.
The Carnelian adds a pop of colour.
This pretty bracelet measures approximately 7 inches (17.5cm).
Your bracelet will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
