Handcrafted by Danniella Wilde all pieces in the Sunflower collection come in two finishes; either entirely highly polished sterling silver or with dark oxidised centres. Danniella found inspiration in black and white still life flower photography which she felt really puts emphasis on the form of the flowers without the distraction of colour. The oxidisation in the centre of the sunflowers creates depth and contrast in the pieces.

Whenever Danniella sees a Sunflower she is transported back to being a young girl planting and watching the sunflower seeds grow in her grandads garden with her sister. By late summer the sunflowers would almost double the height of the two little girls.

Sunflowers are a symbol of friendship. It is widely known that sunflowers turn to face the sun and follow it throughout the day however, on cloudy days sunflowers turn to face each other to share their energy. Giving a sunflower as a gift to a friend shows that they can always rely on you.
