I wouldn’t believe anybody if they tried to tell me that they had never received or bought flowers before. Maybe for a wedding, a funeral, a thank you, an “I love you”… “I’m sorry”. A flower always means something.
My work aims to preserve this sentiment which may otherwise be forgotten or discarded when the flower dies. I do this by delicately capturing the key aspects of flora in a precious everlasting medium – silver. I am devoted to making each of my pieces unique, by completely hand crafting them using a variety of goldsmithing techniques.
Danniella Jayne Wilde, born in 1998, grew up on the edge of Cannock Chase in Staffordshire. She moved to Surrey in 2016 to study a BA degree in Glass, Ceramics, Jewellery and Metalwork at the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham, which is where she set up her contemporary silver and jewellery business Wilde Flower. Since graduating in 2019 she has moved to Madrid and set up a small workshop whilst she was learning the Spanish Language. She is now back in the UK working for Lawsons Goldsmiths in Henely-on-Thames and also growing her own business.
Like many other creatives Danniella finds inspiration in the natural world, however, its not solely the beauty of flora itself that inspires her but also the role it plays in peoples lives.
You can follow Danniella on Facebook and Instagram where she regularly posts about her daily life and sneak peaks of new pieces she is currently working on @danniella.wildeflower
