Full description

This shawl has been hand knit by me using 100% Wool from the Jacob breed of sheep that I hand spun in July 2012 and the fleece came from a ewe that lived near Ormskirk, West Lancashire. The beaded scalloped edge design features dragonflies all over and picked out with blue-green glass beads along the outer edge.

Being a natural undyed wool there may be patches of slightly lighter and darker which adds to the rustic nature of the item as just like humans can have natural multi-tones in their hair colour so can sheep.

This is a unique and ready to ship item and you will receive the item shown in the photographs.

All of my shawls are presented gently folded in a tissue lined gift box and come with individually created care cards. The gift box can be used for storage or reused as the label should be able to be removed without too much trouble.

Size (approx):

54" along the neck edge x 23" deep

Materials:

100% Natural whiteJacob Wool

1,205 Japanese glass beads

Weight:

Approx 141g

How to clean the item

Clean by gently placing in hand warm water and a specialist delicate soap such as SOAK or Eucalan and allow to soak for 30 minutes, no vigorous rubbing is needed. Gently squeeze out the excess water (do not wring), place on a clean towel, roll it up then press down gently on the towel to soak up as much as possible. Lay out flat on a clean surface to dry, using pins and/or blocking wires to gently stretch the shawl out to shape to maintain it's beauty.
