This particular crow was photographed at Redcar beach for a project studying the local corvid species. I travelled to many locations in Yorkshire where I was living at the time to see which species could be found where. This is a carrion crow, the one people think of when we say 'crow'. I took hundreds of photos and selected just a few to draw from that expressed the different behaviours and characters of these fascinating birds. I loved this one because there's something very contemplative about it.

Original charcoal pencil drawing of a crow - one of a very limited number of one-off drawings created for my Courting Crows project. The crows were exhibited at a pop-up show in Whitby.
I normally draw multiple crows from each photograph that I take, to keep them affordable - that way all the extra time taken doing wildlife shoots, listing images and so on are paid for between several sales. Because I crowdfunded this project, I was able to create a batch of unique, individual drawings so I am pleased to be able to offer the final few at this excellent price.
Comes complete with a mount and black wooden frame ready to hang. Please note- the frame is fitted with acrylic glazing so it is safe to post, this is of high quality and looks just like glass.
