I like to try out different fibres and, having grown up in the west-country, I knew that nettles were once eaten and used in crafts. I thought this would be a way of connecting back to my grandmother's stories of nettle soup without having to actually eat nettle soup.

Full description
All natural mixed Fibre hand blended batt - 'Purple Stinger'
A beautiful blend of rich regal purple, lilac, mauve, pink and a splash of damson coloured natural fibre. It is largely merino top but is as I did not label these fibre tops when I bought them and squirrelled them away I have simply listed it as mixed fibre. it is 90% mixed fibre (as described) and 10% hand dyed raime (nettle) top. The raime adds a subtle sheen and a silky feel.
This fibre is perfect for spinning, felting or any variety of crafts. I'm sensitive to the scratch that some wool has but I can wear this blend on my neck with no problems.
The listing is for one batt of at least 55g.
Please note that whilst I try to accurately reflect the true colours of the fibre, these can vary between monitors.
