Crafter of all sorts of lovely items, from the mini to the mighty.

I'm a teacher by day but have always felt the need to create. My family gave me a start with knitting and patchwork and I love to learn. So now I spin, weave, crochet, knit, make bobbin lace, create Dorset buttons, a little macrame and embroidery, make costumes and cards and bind books and notebooks. I love to take a craft back as far as I can, hence the spinning, and I usually make my own book-cloth. I have a surprisingly sprightly 18 year-old cat who acts as the inspector of all things. I'm eyeing up leatherworking next, which has been calling to me for a while now. We are based in Cheshire these days and love the slightly cooler weather up here. One of the things that drives me is using all materials to their fullest. No waste if it can be used to make something else and it usually can.
