About your handfasting cord maker:
Annie has grown up on the Isle of Skye and loves her island home. Her mum, Rev Jo Royle, is an interfaith minister and holds intimate elopements and ceremonies. She is always looking for island suppliers for her couples and so Annie was inspired to start Skye Handfasting Cords.
Inspired by the colours of the natural landscape, she reflects them in her handfasting cords. She cares deeply about nature and the environment which is why she designed her business to use only natural materials. She is passionate about providing beautiful and meaningful cords with colours that will evoke memories of Skye and the Scottish Highlands.
This is a custom-made item and cannot be returned unless faulty.

A beautiful handfasting cord, made with love, inspired by the Isle of Skye.
Created from natural materials, the colours of Skye Handfasting Cords reflect the landscape, making them perfect for your Isle of Skye elopement or wedding in the Scottish Highlands.
The nine strand cord in the photos is made with three complementing colours (limestone, musselshell & bluebell) & two charms (double spiral & celtic triquetra). The cord is FULLY CUSTOMISABLE so you may choose your own colours & charms for the meanings they hold to you.
Each Isle of Skye handfasting cord has been blessed in its own ceremony to bring a blessing of love to your ceremony and union.

About the cord...
- Made from macrame cotton.
- Cord is just over 2m in length and 1cm in width.
- Silver alloy charms are around 1 or 2cm at the longest edge.
