I was watching dragonflies and damselflies on a river in France and wanted to capture them in glass.

Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A pretty little dragonfly with closed red wings cut from 2 types of red glass and some clear iridescent, a dichroic topped nugget fused in my lkiln for a head and iridescent red glass for the body and tail.
It looks really lovely hanging in the window where it catches the light. The suncatcher hangs from a little silver chain which is securely attached to the top of the dragonfly.
It is 11cm wide and high.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
This will make a wonderful present especially for a child but please note that it is made of glass and is not a toy but an ornament.
I can make this in other colours. The last photo show 3 colour options currently for sale as separate listings.
