Hi there! Welcome to my shop- Islamaymakes.
All of my makes are my own ideas and exclusive to me. Yes- they do cost a little more than mass produced items because they are all one of a kind , handsticthed, embroidered works of felt art.
I use only heirloom quality 100 % wool felt made in Europe and supplied by two UK based companies.
The felt is soft, strong, non-flammable and naturally stain resistant: it doesn't lose shape or go bobbly and contains no nasty chemicals.
I use natural 100% British wool fleece for stuffing my makes. It has been carefully washed and dried in the UK and has not been bleached or subjected to any chemical processes.
Natural wool’s advantages over synthetic alternatives are clear; it is hypoallergenic, odour resistant, and a natural fire retardant.
I sew with DMC or Anchor 100 % cotton threads , Liberty Print Tana Lawn for appliques work and where possible I use Tana Lawn spaghetti cord or cotton sateen ribbon for my hangers.

Full description
This original felt bear is designed and handmade by myself in The Egg. (see my bio for an explanation). It is made from 100% eco friendly wool felt.
It would make a lovely surprise valentine gift. It is also small and light enough to pop into a jiffy bag to send to a loved one far away.
Although very cute and attractive to both adults and children, my makes are NOT toys. They are decorative accessories and as such have not been tested for toy safety.
My makes are all supplied gift wrapped in tissue paper and sent out 1st Class Post in a jiffy bag
I do not use kits – every’ make’ I create, begins as a picture inside my head and I make up the design of the colours and embroidery as I go along. As such, every make is totally unique and I can guarantee that no one else will have one the same. The bear's love heart is made from Liberty 'Wiltshire Funshine' and I have used over stitch to complete the bear.
This handmade felt ornament is made from 100% wool felt and stuffed with polyester toy stuffing.
