Caca and Squeaky were both very premature babies, weighing in at 2lbs 10ozs and 3lbs 10ozs respectively, four years apart.
As a mum of tiny babies - both of whom scared the living daylights out of me but are now great big, healthy, happy, thriving kids - I know how precious and often frightening every day with your early, fragile little baby is.
I also know how special every gift, especially the handcrafted preemie-sized ones, are.
When I saw and felt this yarn and the blend of gentle colours, it reminded me of the comfort such gifts brought, and how other parents in the neonatal unit wished they had people who could knit for their babies as my mum did for mine.
