Welcome to my shop full of needle felt birds, artfully made in wool and natural fibres.
I am busy felting new birds and making plans for some exciting new collections for 2026. I only add finished birds to my Folksy shop, so you can rest assured they can be posted within 24 hours of ordering and will fly safely to you or a gift recipient within a few days.

I have made a few Wren’s now, but this one I just kept going back to and seeing more detail and toning the colours just so. I think she is one of the most likely birds to seem real and give you a double take. I would not be surprised if she hopped away from her little perch on my desk and hid among the houseplants. She is not a toy and will not stand up to being handled roughly (or at all by any children or pets) but if you love her, and offer her kindness, I know she will bring you pleasure for a lifetime, without hiding in the undergrowth.

Full description
Life-size and hyper-detailed wool Wren, as found in gardens, parks and just about everywhere in the UK and Europe. A hand-made and original artwork made in different varieties of sheep’s wool, with wire legs wrapped in hand-dyed yarn, a tiny wool beak coated with felter’s-wax and the smallest of glass eyes (in my collection). Just like the much-loved garden bird, this is an extra-special piece made with individual wool feathers, wired in the tail to give that perky upright tail pose that we all know and love.
Skilfully crafted with exquisite attention to detail this little Jenny Wren stands 8cms long from the tip of her tiny beak to her upright tail, and no taller than 6.5cms up to the crown of her fluffy head. She can happily sit in your hand, to remind you just how small this diminutive bird actually is (though so loud when she calls in the spring) and she can come with a wooden bobbin or lovely slice of mossy Bodmin bark to sit on proudly by your plant pots, on your desk, shelf or bedside table, anywhere that you might need a tiny rush of joy on seeing her.
