I AM UPDATING PRODUCT BOXES FOR JEWELLERY AND DECORATIONS WHICH WILL TAKE AWHILE, IF YOU PURCHASE YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR ORDER IN THE NEW BOXES AS DESCRIBED BELOW.
Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.
I love collecting things discarded, lost, forgotten, damaged or just not wanted any more. My favourite places are rivers and beaches, but also find great things at recycling centres and charity shops. I’m lucky to live near the River Tees, Co Durham and often walk the banks picking up broken glass, pottery anything that can be cleaned and re-created into something new. Bits and bobs of lives all waiting to find new homes.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Additional terms
Hand crafted Jewellery and framed artworks using pre loved and discarded ceramics. Ceramic material will show signs of wear and damage. Entire process is a creative experience from discovery to final picture, nothing planned or preconceived. All materials personally collected from river banks, charity shops, roadside, woods, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or donated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each piece comes with a short bio of where the ceramic came from, date found and re-created. Some shards collected are used as found, others are cut randomly which shape the final work. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns in ceramics there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

Re-Created into
Earrings June 2023
I love collecting anything broken, lost or found by chance. There’s a small patch of ground beside the River Tees which gets boggy and drenched during heavy rains. The downpours expose all sorts of broken pot, glass, bits of pipes and wonderful oyster shells.
I found two pieces of the same ceramic, possibly from a saucer. Lovely Green plant pattern on white. Although the pieces didn’t fit together they are from the same piece, lovely green flowers and leaves. I gently clipped each piece to randomly form shards. Some similar in shape and from the same place in the pattern and others broke in a way that suggested pendants or hanging decorations.
These earring are created from the larger piece. I drilled holes and sanded sides and backs, intentionally leaving the surface slightly uneven to preserve character. Front glaze intact but has scratches. Sealed with non toxic eco friendly matt sealant, hanging on sterling silver 925 fish hooks.
The idea is to create something new from old, to capture something unique. The final piece is not meant to be perfect or highly polished. Destined to be lost forever, found by chance, broken ceramic saucer starts new as one of a kind earrings.
Measures approximately 22mm x 9mm x 2mm
Full drop approximately 40mm.
Delivered in gift box made with recycled materials and comes with short bio.
