Amazonite is a blue-green variety of microcline, part of the feldspar group of minerals.
It was prized by the ancient Egyptians, who placed jewellery and carved ornaments made of Amazonite in the tombs of the dead.
It was one of the stones used to inlay the golden mask of Tutankhamun.
It is regarded as a stone of hope, balancing emotions and soothing stress, and is believed to enhance creativity and intuition.

Full description
The centrepiece of this striking necklace is a pendant featuring an 8mm Amazonite puffed heart, 4mm Swarovski 'jet' crystal and 3mm faceted Amazonite bead, separated by tiny 2mm sterling silver spacers and set between a pair of puffed hearts.
These hearts are bracketed on either side by a trio of 5, 4 and 3mm Swarovski 'jet' crystals and a pair of faceted Amazonite beads, also separated by tiny sterling silver rounds.
The body of the necklace is made from 6mm and 4mm Amazonite, accented with 4mm black Onyx.
The necklace fastens with a Tibetan silver rose toggle clasp that is nickel and lead free.
The Amazonite hearts and rounds beads are an opaque blue-green, varying from pale to darker colours.
The AAA grade micro-faceted beads are a deeper shade.
This necklace measures approximately 16.5 inches (42cm).
Your necklace will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a pretty gift bag.
