This miniature diorama features a little deer roaming through woodland, with OS map leaves in the treetops. It is inspired by my love of animals and nature. Partly influenced by my time working on props and sets in the theatre, all my dioramas aim to create an alternative little world within a small contained space, something I've always been fascinated by!
The design comes from original drawings which have been transformed into layers of laser cut wood, which I paint by hand, build up to form 3d layers and set into a glazed pale grey wooden box frame, which measures approx. 11cm; the scene itself measures 7.5cm x 7.5cm x 1.5cm.
Each diorama I make is completely unique.
