Sewing is a huge passion of mine and the benefits that I personally reap from it are plentiful, especially in relation to its creative and mindful nature. Full description
This bear embroidery hoop has been designed with hand sewing beginners in mind. It uses only one type of stitch (back stitch) to create the wonderful friendly character pictured. The bear is sewn using stranded embroidery thread within the hoop that then forms its frame. Step by step instructions complete with photographic images are included to make this project as user friendly as possible. One of the great things about this embroidery project is that it can be easily picked up and put down as a mindful activity without you loosing your place or the stitches unravelling. It makes a wonderful gift to those with creative personalities who would like to try their hand at a new skill.
The kit contains:
- A 6inch embroidery hoop with a screw fastening that will hold the cotton fabric taught for easy stitching as well as providing a display frame for the finished piece.
- A piece of cotton with the hand drawn bear design pre-printed
- Photographic step by step instructions
- All of the embroidery threads that you will require for the project
- A sewing needle complete with a handy needle threader (the needle is necessarily sharp for this project so adult supervision is recommended)
This is a complete kit containing everything that you will require, except for scissors, to create your very own embroidered bear.
