StitchwithKate - It's time to take the leap!

Hello, and thank you for stopping by my shop. StitchwithKate has been a dream of mine for a number of years. Over the 2020 lockdown I was able to put more time into sewing and as a result I began to tentatively start to share through local artisan markets sewn gifts that I had made.

3 years further down the line and this idea has developed and transformed into something little different. I have decided that the time has come to make sewing more than just a hobby of mine and as a result I have become a part time teacher and am now working hard to establish StitchwithKate as a business.

The vision is that of teaching people of any age to sew through a mixture of instructed kits and in person workshops. Here on Folksy you can find the former and the first phase of my development plan. I have many ideas for where to take these kits but for now I hope you enjoy my range of hand sewing kits using felt, plastic canvas and cotton as the sewing mediums.

Sewing is both mindful and creative in nature and I hope as a result that you will become as enchanted as I am by the humble sewing needle.
