Texture and the chosen reactive glaze always throws up interesting results. There are different shades of maroon/rust in this piece and the fluted edge adds more interest. Inspired to use texture for decoration.

Full description
Lovely plate for serving food or just as a pretty decorative item. Handbuilt from stoneware clay, textured and finished in a glaze that has produced pretty tones. The colour is difficult to describe well but its a light maroon/rusty red colour with varying tones of the colour at play.
The platter is 10 ins (25cms) long.
