I have taken the last few months off from woodturning to concentrate on my botanical water colour work a few examples of which you can view on my Instagram account. However, I have picked up the chisels again and will be adding new items and old favourites. Apart from exceptionally large pieces my items are delivered free of charge by Royal Mail, second class.
I have been experimenting with interesting finishes and wanted to use different combinations of colours. This was another attempt and I hope the viewer will form a favourable opinion.

Full description
I turned this generously sized bowl from a lovely piece of Ash. After applying a sanding sealed and finishing to a fine smooth surface I applied an interesting iridescent finish that contrasts with the natural grain of the bowls interior. Ultimately I applied a hard wearing lacquer to the piece that just needs a damp cloth to keep clean.
