Happy new year! We hope that 2025 is a good one for all of our customers. Our shop is currently quite depleted but the new sewing machine will soon be in action and new stock will be added as it is made. Send a message if you're looking for something in particular.
Sadly, given the new regulations, we are no longer able to sell to customers in Northern Ireland.
In this shop you will find a variety of household items and gifts, mostly with an Eco-focus - things that can be used and reused without costing the planet or emptying your wallet. We use up scraps, repurpose materials and prioritise natural new materials. We love colour and our products are attractive, environmentally friendly and useful. We don’t want to be preachy - just to make things that are a pleasure to use.

I have been looking for ways to reduce our use of cling film. As there's only 2 of us in the house we often have leftovers. When I started working with PUL fabric I realised that this is the ideal fabric to use for covering bowls of leftovers in a way that is sustainable and eco-friendly.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Full description
This gorgeous bowl cover will be and asset in your kitchen. It is designed for keeping food fresh and helping to reduce your usage of cling film and plastic bags. It is made in an extra large size to fit over a mixing bowl (approx. 30cm diameter), dinner plate or even a rectangular lasagne dish (approx. 21 x 25cm). It is ideal for covering proving dough or fruit soaking for the Christmas cake. The cover is made from attractive cotton lined with food safe PUL – more details below. The fabric features little wildlife images, birds, insects and plants. Elastic threaded into the hem holds the cover securely on your chosen bowl. It can be used in the fridge or freezer but is not suitable for microwave use. If soiled, the lining can be wiped clean or the whole cover can be washed in the washing machine and air dried.
We also sell smaller covers in variety of fabrics.
PUL stands for Polyurethane Laminate. It is a soft, waterproof and breathable fabric that has been manufactured in an environmentally friendly way. It is safe for food use as it does not give off any toxic chemicals. The waterproofing comes from a thin layer of plastic which has been bonded to polyester fabric. It has been tested for at least 300 washes. Whilst the fabric is not totally plastic free, using these products could significantly reduce your use of plastic bags, films and boxes.
