Full description
Made using a recycled wooden topper and unwanted canvas pegs with acrylics. I sand and smooth the edges of the pegs then paint. I paint each topper a unique colour combination and attach to the pegs. These are fun, colourful, one-off brooches made using materials which would have been just thrown away.
The texture of the brooches is quite uneven as the wood is quite soft so even after sanding it may not be smooth. However with the addition of the paints and a clear varnish the brooches are smooth with no sharp edges.
