PLEASE NOTE

I AM UPDATING PRODUCT BOXES FOR JEWELLERY AND DECORATIONS WHICH WILL TAKE AWHILE, IF YOU PURCHASE YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR ORDER IN THE NEW BOXES AS DESCRIBED BELOW.

Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.

I love collecting things discarded, lost, forgotten, damaged or just not wanted any more. My favourite places are rivers and beaches, but also find great things at recycling centres and charity shops. I’m lucky to live near the River Tees, Co Durham and often walk the banks picking up broken glass, pottery anything that can be cleaned and re-created into something new. Bits and bobs of lives all waiting to find new homes.

You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.

Additional terms

Hand crafted Jewellery and framed artworks using pre loved and discarded ceramics. Ceramic material will show signs of wear and damage. Entire process is a creative experience from discovery to final picture, nothing planned or preconceived. All materials personally collected from river banks, charity shops, roadside, woods, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or donated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each piece comes with a short bio of where the ceramic came from, date found and re-created. Some shards collected are used as found, others are cut randomly which shape the final work. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns in ceramics there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece.

Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

Created from ceramic discovered in

Darlington, North East February 2023

Re-Created into Earrings April 2023

In February 2023 I found a lovely cup in a charity shop in Darlington, North East. Delicate and covered with hand painted flowers sadly it was badly scratched, cracked and due to be thrown away.

I hoped to be able to rescue the ceramic and make some pieces of jewellery but most of it was far too weak. However, I managed to clip and save a few small pieces. These little earrings are made from the rim, both have very similar scratches across the flower which was there when I bought the cup. I was able to drill a hole and sand smooth edges and backs. Sides and backs sealed with non toxic eco friendly sealant, front glaze in tact except scratch.

The idea is to keep the character of the ceramic found, the finished piece is not meant to be highly polished or perfect. Found by chance in a box in Darlington destined to be recycled, once a pretty hand painted cup, now a small pair of earrings. One of a kind, unique and eye catching.

Each Earring measure approximately 14mm x 7mm (widest) x 2mm.
