I've always wanted to make a plaid style patchwork quilt and when I saw a pattern on-line I knew I'd have to give it a go. It was especially lovely to be able to incorporate the Winter nap print fabric into the design.

Full description
A bold and cheerful patchwork throw in a mix of bright Spring greens and mellow Autumnal oranges and browns. The light orange print contains images of animals curled up for a Winters nap - bears, hedgehogs, dormice and foxes.
Each square measures 4" (10cm). The quilt measures 53" wide x 63" long (135cm x 160cm). An ideal size to use as a sofa throw, bed throw or picnic blanket.
All the fabrics used are quilting weight 100% cotton. Inside the quilt is a layer of quilters wadding which is 80% cotton & 20% polyester - breathable and easy care. The quilt can be machine washed on a gentle cycle.
I have machine quilted the three layers together using a stitching design to echo and emphasise the plaid style pattern of the patchwork.
Made in my home sewing studio, using an original pattern by Nicola Dodd.
Made in a pet-free, smoke-free environment.
