applique & freehand embroidered zombie sloth notebook cover with A6 sketchbook inside.

the f---ening. that thing where it’s all been going well, almost too well, and then suddenly the s--- hits the fan. that moment.
zombie sloth comes crashing down. he’s cut from pale grey cotton and hand dyed corpse grey lawn, and has a white skull on his bottom. each piece of fabric is hand-cut, and then (very patiently!) layered & appliqued onto cotton calico to build up the image, before “drawing” the intricate details on freehand, using free motion embroidery.
the text “the fuckening” is freehand embroidered.
sloths’ eyeballs are hand embroidered.
there's no computerised wizardry here; each cover is made entirely on a domestic sewing machine.
it's entirely cut, stitched and handmade, with care, by me, ensuring each notebook cover is unique, well made and securely constructed.
the slipcover itself is made from heavy weight calico which has been pre-washed several times so it’s soft and should not shrink when washed.
the seams are overlocked and top stitched and the cover is stiffened with interfacing.
the calico cover is washable and re-usable, simply replace the A6 sketchbook when it's full. the sketchbooks are manufactured in the UK - quality casebound hard cover books, containing all-media cartridge paper.
