Sodalite is a blue mineral that was only discovered in the early 1800's.
It is a sodium silicate containing aluminium and chlorine.
It is thought to help stabilise the emotions, bringing calm and promoting rational thought.
On a visit to Canada in 1901 the Prince and Princess of Wales, later King George V and Queen Mary, were shown Sodalite from a newly discovered mine. Mary fell in love with the stone and had 130 tons shipped to the UK.

Full description
Each earring is made using a 6mm and two 4mm Sodalite beads topped with a dragonfly charm with an antique silver finish.
The Sodalite beads are in shades of royal blue with patches of white.
The dragonflies are nickel and lead free.
Each dragonfly is highlighted with tiny 2mm sterling silver beads.
The beads are hung from sterling silver ear-wires that are stamped '925'.
These drop earrings measure approximately 1.35 inches (3cm), excluding the wires.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
Price includes delivery within the UK.
