INTERNATIONAL POST - I'm in the process of updating postage for the US and have temporarily removed it from my listings whilst I recalculate the prices to include the new taxes and handling fees which have to be paid prior to my items entering the US. Full description
A beautiful hand sewn and hand embroidered pincushion. A lovely gift for someone who likes to sew or a treat for your sewing room.
Measures approx 4" diameter across the top.
Hand sewn onto natural silk noil.
I have used soft pinks and variegated greens to embroider the centre of the pincushion top in a floral design, using various embroidery stitches. The first I have made with the embroidery to the centre.
Filled very firmly with super polyester filling, a cotton form was made then the embroidered silk complete with a cotton backing was laced over the form as tightly as possible to minimise creasing around the gathered fabric.
Fitted to a 4" natural beech wooden bowl which has been coated with modge podge, decorated with natural crochet lace and a pale pink ribbon tied to a small bow.
My pincushions have 3 layers of fabric to ensure a long life.
Made for the crafter, someone who loves to sew, this would make a beautiful unique keepsake gift.
This will be posted by Royal Mail 2nd class parcel post and will require a signature upon delivery.,
