Full description
I made this bag with vintage Laura Ashley fabric called Blueberry. It dates from 1985, has a taupe background with leaves and berries in pinky red, blue and green. Please note that this fabric is reclaimed from a huge pair of curtains, but is in great condition. I faced the top edge with the same fabric and then the rest of the inside is lined with cream poly/cotton. There is a keyring inserted into one of the inside seams. It measures approximately 31cm across the top, 24cm across the base and is 25cm high.
The base is boxed and stiffened with bag stiffener. The bag is also interlined with a layer of felt, and has horizontal rows of wave-stitch. The loop of each handle measures about 36cm and they have been interlined for comfort and topstitched. There is a flap at the top which fastens with a loop around a fabric covered button.
Also included is a matching coin purse. It measures about 12cm x 9cm and is lined with cream poly/cotton. Interlined with a layer of woollen fabric. Wave stitched to match the bag. There is a beige zip across the top and I have inserted a key ring into the side seam, complete with a lobster clasp so that this purse could be clipped safely inside the tote.
This item is ready to ship. I usually send out next day and use second class post. Item will be wrapped in new tissue paper, whilst the outer packaging might be recycled.
