The Reclaimed Hops Pole Collection (See my other listings for other items in the collection)
All the items in this collection are crafted from reclaimed hops poles.
Yes these items were once stuck in a field in the Worcestershire countryside supporting the fruits for your favourite beverage! The poles, having gone into retirement, have now been hand crafted into the items of this collection.
Each item is completely unique and may have many features from its past life, weathering, cracks, splits, staple and 'U' nail holes. If you're looking for a perfect bit of wood then these are not for you. We consciously try to select timber that reflects the history from its previous life and do not over finish areas that were part of the original exterior in order to retain some of the original patina.
In doing so each piece tells its own unique story!
This is a custom-made item and cannot be returned unless faulty.

The Floating Heart Tealight Holder
These beautiful rustic tealight holders are from our reclaimed hops pole collection.
Each holder is hand crafted and the two halves are dowelled and glued together to create a heart shaped cutout which in turn features it's own 'floating' heart.
The 'floating' heart is made to include the heartwood of the tree, this is the first wood a tree makes as it starts it's life and can be seen as the darker circle near the centre of the heart!
The holder is 170mm tall, 190mm wide and 55mm deep and will accept tealights up to 40mm diameter.(Please note all dimensions are approximate).
The tealight holder is finished with a natural oil to bring out the wood grain and other features unique to the material that it is made from.
We would recommend that led/artificial tealights are used, as these are made from real wood, and may create a real bonfire, if used with a real flame!...You have been warned!
