My world of donkeys! Those familiar with my prints might be aware that I create a lot of prints featuring donkeys. I don't think they are championed nearly as much as they should be in the art world, so I feel it is my job to do so. With this print, I was possibly feeling vaguely optimistic about the future, hence the bright tones!

This is a linocut / screen print entitled 'Donkey Monolith No.17' printed in printed in blue, pink and yellow.
This is one of my on-going series featuring donkeys exploring a sculptural landscape. I have created a lot of donkey-themed prints over the years, as I feel drawn towards their modest nature. I like to celebrate them and imagine them have all sorts of interesting times and adventures when not being watched or bothered by anyone. I imagine a secret world that only donkeys know about, full of intriguing and slightly confusing features for them to explore (plus a helping hand o!).
As well as the three basic colours, several other colours appear on the print as a result of using transparent inks overlaid on top of each other. Like all of my donkey adventure prints I decided to try and create a secret world that only donkeys know about, full of intriguing and slightly confusing features for them to explore (plus the occasional helping hand!).
Blue, pink and yellow inks on white Seawhite 300gsm acid-free paper. From an edition of only 25, signed, stamped, titled and numbered.
The paper measures H42xW429.7cm.
Hand-printed by myself in Sheffield, UK. Each one is slightly different, as is the nature with screen-prints.
All prints will be posted unframed, and securely in a card tube and sent by first-class Royal Mail Signed-For post (UK) or Airmail (rest of the world).
