Full description
Handwoven in 11 shades of very fine cotton warped in a Fibonacci gradient. Gently shifting from teal through turquoise and green, to lighter shades of gold and orange. The scarf plays with colour and light when wound around the neck creating dramatic shifts in light and dark. Woven in a fine black silk weft in a tiny and intricate advancing twill, the scarf rewards the eye with an areas of ever moving diamonds. Inspired by the flash of colour of a diving kingfisher in the River Wye, this is the perfect weight of scarf, and is great for people sensitive to wool and looking for a year round scarf. Silk and cotton are non itchy and naturally regulates temperature. Light, with a good drape.
Measures approximately 26cm x 190cm
Woven entirely by hand on a custom-built 8 shaft Swedish floor loom from surplus high-quality yarn otherwise destined for landfill.
