Cast in a Dense plaster compound and coloured with acrylic paint. It is coated in a waterproof finish to allow it to be hung outside .
Whats it made from?
At SummerIsle we use various modelling materials to make the original sculpture. These include Sculpey, Fimo, Newplast, Milliput as well as air drying clays for larger items. We make a mould of the original using latex then cast in a hard plaster which is suitable for indoor use. The pieces are handpainted by us and each piece will vary slightly in colour.
