I have used white Zircon for this necklace as a substitute for Diamond, birthstone for April and Aries, but Zircon is also a birthstone for December and Sagittarius, alongside Turquoise and Tanzanite.
Colourless zircon is known for its brilliance and flashes of light.
These zircon properties are close enough to the properties of diamond to account for centuries of confusion between the two gems.
In the Middle Ages, this gem was thought to induce sound sleep, drive away evil spirits and promote riches, honour and wisdom.
In ancient times, butterflies were believed to be messengers from the spirit world and were used as a symbol of long life, rebirth and transition.
The butterfly is commonly used in Chinese symbolism to represent joy and warmth.
The Romans associated butterflies with wedded bliss, and in Japan two butterflies indicate that a marriage is blessed.
In Christianity they are a symbol of resurrection, which would make them a good choice as an Easter gift.

This beautiful, sparkly necklace features a pair of 8mm 'Jet' Swarovski crystal butterflies, an assortment of black Onyx and micro-faceted, genuine white Zircon beads.
The Onyx beads are a mix of 4mm faceted, 4mm frosted and 2mm smooth round.
The faceted beads form the body of the necklace, and give a lovely glitter when they catch the light.
The 3mm white Zircon beads are micro-faceted, giving gorgeous, Diamond-like sparkles amongst the black Onyx.
Not to be mistaken for man-made Cubic Zirconia, Zircon is a natural, beautiful, genuine gemstone in its own right, and is often compared to Diamond due to its lustre and fire.
The necklace fastens with a Tibetan silver rose clasp, that is nickel and lead free.
This necklace measures approximately 16 inches (41cm).
Your necklace will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a pretty organza gift bag.
