I am taking my art in a new direction and experimenting with using reclaimed wood as a backing to work on instead of using frames. I am doing an exhibition at the Blenheim Palace flower show in the summer so I have started working on some new pieces inspired by nature and flowers. I am really pleased with how this has turned out and will make someone a really unique gift.

This exquisite, one-of-a-kind blue orchid, crafted from pieces of rare, blue sea glass is perfect for plant enthusiasts and is made using reclaimed materials.
It features a striking blue orchid housed in a pot created from a shard of beach pottery. The orchid's flowers, buds, and leaves are fashioned from sea glass, while the remainder of the piece is meticulously hand-painted. The entire artwork is mounted on a piece of reclaimed wood that has been carefully sanded, painted by hand, and varnished to perfection.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION & DETAILS
- The picture has been strung with natural jute so that you can easily hang this from a nail or picture hook in portrait position. The dimensions of the backing piece of wood are 26cm high, 12cm wide and 1cm thick. The total drop from the hanging point to the bottom of the wood is approx 42cm.
- This is a one-off bespoke piece that will make a beautiful and unique gift for someone who loves sea glass and appreciates unique art.
