Despite living nowhere near the coast, I have always loved the sea and love to feel connected to it. Prior to April 2020, I hoarded a decent collection of sea glass, shells, pebbles and driftwood from my various coastal trips with the intention of 'doing something with it one day'. Then I was suddenly furloughed from my office job, I needed a distraction and Craft Happy was born. I began sharing and documenting my creative journey and quickly gained an audience creating cute and quirky artwork that resonated with people. I set up my Folksy shop soon afterwards, began selling at craft fairs, launched creative wellbeing workshops in my local community, and continued to grow as my confidence increased. I am now a full-time artist and I am not only passionate about what I create, but also about sharing the benefits of being creative to anyone who wants to listen.
I put a lot of thought and love into the items I make and my main motivation is for them to bring happiness to the people who buy them. All of the sea glass I use in my designs I have collected myself from all over the world because collecting it is part of the joy. Very pleased with the ornament especially as Helen went above and beyond putting the recipient’s name above the beach hut door for me . This fortunately had only 5 letters so was able to fit. Very good price too
