I absolutely love owls. Any kind of owl, but particularly barn owls! They feature a lot in my work because I feel an affinity with them.
This sleepy chap is based on some pictures I took at a local bird of prey rescue centre, but I have given him a magical night backdrop.
The painting itself is painted in oils, is gloss varnished and has a professionally cut domed mount. The frame is painted with stylised acorns around the sides and is waxed and polished for durability.
5% of the sale of this painting will be donated to the bird rescue.
Approximate measurements are:
Painting - 5.5 inches x 8 inches (14cm x 20cm)
Frame - (exterior) 10.75 inches x 12.75 inches (27cm x 32cm)
