Full description

This little print is part of a series of paintings and prints exploring old customs and folklore of Britain, rendered in a slightly spooky folk-horror way.

The green man is thought to symbolise rebirth and represents the cycle of growth which starts in Spring. It can take many forms, but is mainly seen in the form of stone carvings in churches or on buildings. I've been looking out for them wherever I go for years!

This drypoint etching measures approximately 3"x4" and was printed from a plexiglass plate, etched with fine etching tools using black Akua soy-based ink on Canletto paper. It is number 17 in a variable limited edition of 20.

Sold unmounted as seen. Prince includes postage within the UK.

Designed by Pickettywitch in Bristol
