"The Parrot sculpture was commissioned to be mounted atop a headstone to memorialise this wonderful bird. He was sculpted of an adult African Grey parrot named Captain a very talkative and handsome boy! I chose the pose as it was a beautiful, sculptural posture I thought captured Captain's insatiable curiosity, beauty and intelligence."

How its made: Foundry Bronze refers to the poured molten metal that is cast solid or hollow, depending on size, at a bronze foundry (using the traditional lost wax process). It is more robust than Bronze Resin and will appreciate in value.
