"The ‘Trust’ Woman and Fawn sculpture was the fourth sculpture in my animal-human relationships series. I feel our interactions with the animal world are so often to do with commercial use or resource accumulation and I wanted to depict a relationship that felt purer.
This piece is meant to evoke a sense of innocence, respect and trust, which we fear we are very close to losing entirely in many parts of the world. But the more we can protect our wild places, our parks and woods, along with the creatures that live in them, the more we’ll be able to enjoy those things. If we can establish a healthier relationship with the animals we share our world with, perhaps we can grow in it alongside one another, and learn a different way forward together."

Tanya Russell is a member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors and her sculptures are hand cast by a British foundry. Her Foundry Bronze Trust statue will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and cleaning kit. This casting is a perfect recreation of the original bronze statue and bears the artists signature and its own unique edition number.

How its made: Foundry Bronze refers to the poured molten metal that is cast solid or hollow, depending on size, at a bronze foundry (using the traditional lost wax process). It is more robust than Bronze Resin and will appreciate in value.
